The full requirements
- • No ticketed accident within the two years preceding your application.
- • No rollover accident within the five years preceding your application.
- • All other accidents or incidents are subject to review and must be disclosed on your application.
- • No more than three moving violations or chargeable accidents (or a combination of both) within the three years preceding your application.
- • No serious traffic violation (FMCSR Part 383.5) within the three years preceding your application. This includes:
- – Speeding 15 mph or more,
- – Improper or erratic lane changes,
- – Following too closely,
- – Reckless driving (none within the previous ten years).
- • No criminal convictions (excluding motor vehicle violations) within the three years preceding your application.
- • No felony convictions within the last ten years.
- • No felony, theft, or larceny convictions resulting in an active prison or jail sentence during your lifetime.
- • No drug-related convictions within the past five years.
- • No dishonorable discharge from the Armed Forces (a copy of DD214 must be provided).
- • No previous positive drug test or refusal to take a drug test.
- • No “Driving Under the Influence” violations within the past ten years, and no more than one total in your lifetime.
- • Intermodal drivers must have and maintain a TWIC Card.
